About Us

Coldwater Maple Company is rooted in our family homestead, nestled among thousands of majestic sugar maples in the heart of Simcoe County, Ontario. Here, we care for a flock of Serama and Wyandotte chickens, nurture gourmet forest mushrooms like Wine Caps, Shiitakes, and Oysters in our woods, create incredible granola in our kitchen and carry forward the traditions of small-batch, artisanal maple syrup making. Every product reflects our ethos of respect for the land, authenticity, and the simple joy of sharing wholesome food grown and crafted with care.

Our specialty offerings, from whisky-oak aged maple syrup to our Premium Dark Robust harvests, speak to discerning palates who value provenance and craft. Each small batch captures a moment in time — even the extraordinary ice storm of 2025 — preserved in flavour and story. Guided by our co-owner, a Conservation Biologist, we uphold rigorous sustainable practices that safeguard the forest while elevating the terroir of every bottle. This blend of science, stewardship, and artisanal tradition ensures Coldwater Maple syrups are not only exquisite to taste, but also rooted in integrity and respect for the land.
